Every American wine appellation is defined in federal regulations by walking the boundary landmark by landmark. The official description of this one begins:
(1) The beginning point is on the Cholame map in the Shandon Valley at the intersection of State Route 41 and San Juan Road, northern boundary of section 21, T26S/R15E.
